Mad Adventure [v0.2.1] [MorbusGreaves] (Ren’Py)

Overview:
My name is MC, and I recently moved out of my parents’ house into an apartment near my university.
Everything in my life was going well until…
One day, I went to visit my parents, only to discover that they were nowhere to be found.
They had suddenly vanished without a trace…
I tried calling them, but neither of them could be reached.
After some time, I contacted the police. They asked me a few questions and assured me they would search for them.
Now, I need to figure out what happened. Maybe someone they worked with knows something, or perhaps one of their friends?
Growing up, I often asked my parents about their jobs. They always told me they were scientists working for the government, but they never revealed anything beyond that.
For now, though, I’m moving in with an old friend of my mother’s, since I can no longer afford my rent.
She lives on the other side of the city, and I haven’t seen her since I was a child. Back then, I was best friends with her daughter.
Maybe my mother and her drifted apart after I grew up, considering how long it’s been since we last met.
I called her because she was the only person I knew in town who could help, and she seemed perfectly fine with letting me stay at her place for a while.
