It seems we’ve taken our time with this devlog. Perhaps partly because we hesitated to share the news and decisions we’ve made.

So, let’s start with what we’ve been working on this past month.

As you may have noticed, we released the 4th part of our comic, which is now available to our paid subscribers. You can check it out by clicking the button below.

Secondly, we’ve been working on the game. And here we had to make a difficult, but what we believe to be a necessary decision at this point. Let’s start from the beginning.

You may not know this, but just like you, we’re gamers who enjoy spending time with specific types of games. That’s why we decided to start creating something of our own. We’ve played through many games, some of which left a particular impression on us.

Between work sessions, we’ve been exploring new projects and studying the market. Ultimately, we’ve come to a conclusion: standard visual novel games with renders aren’t very popular anymore. Only a few older games have managed to gather a sizable audience, and for new projects, the entry threshold is very high. Even projects with high-quality renders gather a maximum of 500–1,000 subscribers, of which only 10–20% are paying subscribers.

For us, since the quality of our renders and animations isn’t high enough yet, entering this market would be even harder. And we don’t want to spend a lot of time and effort on something that won’t pay off and would have to be abandoned.

Therefore, we’ve decided to postpone our main project for now and create something simpler to test our skills and build an audience for future projects. This will still be a game, but not a typical visual novel. Instead, it will be a phone-simulator-style game, something similar to what Bloody Ink creates.

We’ve already discussed this with the Bloody Ink team, and they will assist us. We’ll likely use some elements from AWP for this game.

Important Notes

The game will still include renders, and it will feature characters we designed for our main project. So, the game will include fully 3D characters, without any real porn. The plot we’ve created for the main project will be carried over into this new game. We’ll slightly adjust it to fit the new storytelling format, but it will remain largely the same.

Why Change the Game Type?

It’s simple. A typical visual novel requires a lot of high-quality renders, as well as many unrelated to the main plot, like location renders that change based on the time of day or game progress. A phone-simulator-style game doesn’t have these disadvantages. Additionally, help from Bloody Ink will make the process even easier. But most importantly, it’s about time—time we don’t want to waste.

We decided it would be better to start with a small fanbase and then move on to more serious projects.

Current Priorities

We don’t know exactly when we’ll start working on this game, as it’s not a priority right now. At the moment, we’ve decided to focus more on the comics we’re creating. Perhaps later, we’ll start working on the game, but for now, game development is on hold. But…

There’s good news

Besides the comic about Tifa and Fem Cloud, we’re also working on a new comic set in the DC universe. Exciting, right? The comic’s theme will be similar to the first one: NTR, M2F transformation, gender bender. Below, we’ll share a couple of renders we’ve already made for this comic.

What do you think? Are you curious about this story? Very soon, we’ll release a demo prologue for everyone and the first part of the comic for subscribers.

To Summarize:

  1. Over the past month, we’ve worked on two comics: The comic Tifa NTR: Fem Cloud – Rescue Mission and a new DC universe comic.
  2. We’ve scrapped the original plan for our game, as we believe it’s not feasible right now. We decided to first build a fanbase, after which we’ll create a full-fledged project. Project Z will be reformatted into a phone-like game with 3D renders, with help from the Bloody Ink team.
  3. Soon, you’ll get to check out our second comic.

That’s all for now. We hope to have more exciting news for you in the next devlog. Have a great weekend!

Hello everyone,
I’m a little surprised that no one has responded to your post yet.

I really like the planned changes because I like these phone-based NRT-games and when you release the game, I’ll support you here again. But at the moment, it’s too much of a mess for me. 😉
I’m excited to see what’s coming.
The same goes for “the wife’s phone”. I’m really curious about the next update there too.
